Anghelopoulos ha saputo interpretare come pochi altri il significato dei versi danteschi:\u00a0\u201cL\u2019immaginazione di Dante \u00e8 visiva\u201d, scrisse Eliot, \u201clo \u00e8 in un senso diverso da quello di un\u00a0pittore moderno di nature morte: \u00e8 visiva in quanto egli viveva in un\u2019et\u00e0 in cui gli uomini\u00a0avevano ancora visioni. E se \u201cl’arte non \u00e8 imitazione della realt\u00e0, ma interpretazione individuale di essa\u201d, come ha\u00a0detto Roberto Longhi, Anghelopoulos traccia un percorso dove la lettura personale travalica\u00a0ogni esperienza collettiva, restituendo un senso intimistico all\u2019esperienza dell\u2019apprendimento.<\/p>\n

As few others, Anghelopoulos has been able to interpret the meaning of Dante\u2019s verses.\u00a0Dante\u2019s imagination is visual, Eliot wrote, in a different sense from that of a modern still life\u00a0painter: it is visual since he lived in an age in which human beings had still visions. If art is not imitation of the reality but individual interpretation of it, as Roberto Longhi said,\u00a0Anghelopoulos provides a path where the personal reading transcends every collective\u00a0experience returning intimacy to the experience of learning.<\/p>\n
